Wyvern OPA

50-200kHz Ultrafast Broadband Parametric Amplifier System

The Wyvern-OPA™ is a collinear IR OPA.  It is a simple double pass system, in a very small package.  The OPA is pumped by the IR from a standard Wyvern™ ultrafast amplifier system at 780nm.  Tuning is from a center wavelength of 1100nm, to 1580nm at the degeneracy point.

Energy output for the single pass system is as high as 2µJ at the center wavelength of 1250nm.  Tuning is accomplished by adjusting the timing overlap and the OPA crystal angle.  ≈10% conversion efficiency is achieved in a two pass design.
